Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore is a private deemed university established in 2001. VIT Vellore offers 72 courses in Engineering and Architecture, Sciences, Law, Management and Business Administration, Computer Application and IT, Animation and Design, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and Commerce streams. VIT Vellore admissions are done on the basis of the entrance examination scores followed by the counselling process, respectively. The university has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls to accommodate outstation students. VIT Vellore offers scholarships to students based on their academic records.
